The Law Firm of Chet Lukaszewski, P.C.
9/11 Zadroga Fund Compensation Claims
Chet Lukaszewski has dedicated himself to representing 9/11 first responders from both the FDNY and NYPD at the 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund since the passage of the James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act in 2010.
James Zadroga was a New York City Police Department (NYPD) officer who died of a respiratory disease that was attributed to his over 400 hours of participation in rescue and recovery operations in the rubble of the World Trade Center following the September 11th attacks. Zadroga was the first NYPD officer whose death was attributed to exposure to his contact with toxic chemicals and debris at the attack site.
The James Zadroga Act was reauthorized in 2015 and now has over $ 7 billion available to 9/11 first responders and victims for both healthcare and compensation. The Fund will remain open for compensation awards until 2020 and healthcare benefits until 2090.
First responders and victims have a choice of whom they wish to represent them in 9/11 Victims’ Compensation Fund Claims. Read about our record of success in 9/11 cases throughout the firm’s website.
