9/11 Zadroga Act Victim Compensation Fund Claims
The Law Offices of Chet Lukaszewski has represented 9/11 responders since the passage of the James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act in 2010. Our current claims focus on cancer and/or respiratory problems related to World Trade Center exposures.
About the Fund
The September 11th Victim Compensation Fund (VCF) has over $10 billion available for eligible claimants, with benefits extending until 2090. The fund provides compensation to individuals (or their families) who suffered physical harm or were killed as a result of the terrorist-related aircraft crashes of September 11, 2001, or the debris removal efforts that took place in the immediate aftermath.
About James Zadroga
The fund is named after NYPD Detective James Zadroga, whose death was the first officially attributed to World Trade Center-related respiratory disease. Detective Zadroga worked at Ground Zero for hundreds of hours in the months following the September 11th attacks and developed severe respiratory illness as a result of toxic exposures.
